Upon arrival at Yangon International airport, transfer to hotel and check in. Afternoon sightseeing starts with Chauk Htat Gyi, reclining Buddha. Then to famous Shwedagon Pagoda, the world greatest pagoda gilded with golden leaves and can see so many pilgrims who offered flowers, incense sticks and candles to Buddha Images. Then to Karaweik Hall, a royal floating barge on Kandawgyi Lake, for photo stops. Late afternoon back to hotel and overnight.
Early morning drive to Kyaikhtiyo. On the way passing the World War II Cemetery, where the Commonwealth Forces buried who died in World War II . Arrival at the Kimpun base camp, drive by open truck to Yathe Taung (Hermit Hill) camp. Then ascend to the Golden Rock on foot ( appr: 45 min). There is a small stupa at the top of the huge rock gilded by golden leaves and this golden rock balanced over the edge of the mountain. Along the way to Golden Rock, many pilgrims are walking up from the base camp and many porters carrying the person who cannot walk to Golden Rock. Overnight in Kyaikhtioyo.
In the morning drive to Mawlamyine (appr: 5.5 hrs) . On the way pass through Thaton, ancient capital of Mon Kingdom. Between Thaton and Pha-an, visit Bayintnyi caves. Proceed to Mawlamyine. Late afternoon, arrival in Mawlamyine, the capital of Mon State and overnight in Mawlamyine.
After breakfast visit around Mawlamyine starting from central market with lots of fruits, vegetables and meat. Then to Mudon (appr: 1 hr) which is well known for its rubber plantations and seasonal fruits growing. On the way to Mudon, pass through the small town Kyaikmaraw. You can see the beautiful scene and the Kyaikmaraw road with the toddy trees at the both sides. And stop at Kyaukdalone Buddhist Stupa. Return to Mawlamyine, visit the Mon Cultural Museum where traditional musical instruments, clothes and utensils of Mon Tribe. Overnight in Mawlamyine.
In the morning across the Mottamma Channel by ferry boat and drive to Bago (appr: 8 hrs). Overnight in Bago.
In the morning visit to the Bago market where many kinds of vegetables, flowers and commodities, Hinthargone and Shwe Tharlyaung pagoda, giant reclining Buddha. Late afternoon to Mandalay by train.
Upon arrival Mandalay, drive to hotel for check in. Then drive to Amarapura and visit Maha Gandaryon Monastery, the Buddhist University, and silk and cotton weaving and U Bein Bridge, 1.2 km long teak bridge . In the afternoon visit Mandalay Royal Palace, Myanmar traditional workshops: marble works, wood carvings, gold-leaf making and tapestry works. Then continue to Zaygyo market and the Autumashi (Incomparable) Monastery which is declared National Treasure. Back to hotel and overnight in hotel.
After breakfast visit Sagaing over Ava Bridge across the Ayerwaddy River. Sagaing Kaungmudaw, an enormous dome shaped pagoda and Sagaing Hills with monasteries with monks and nuns, all with shaven heads and robed devoted to Buddhism. Visit Oo Min Thonesae and Swan Oo Pon Nya Shin Pagoda and proceed to Monywa. Upon arrival visit Thanbodde temple. Afternoon visit the cotton blanket weaving workshop, lacquerware workshop at Kyaukka village and Alantayar Pagoda. Overnight in Monywa.
After breakfast cross the Chindwin river by ferry boat and proceed to Pho Win Taung caves with 400,000 ancient Buddha images, statues and murals dating back to 14th and 16th century. Then continue to Pakhangyi which was an 19th century town and an archaeological museum and Phankhan-ngai Kyaung, largest wooden monastery. Arrival in Pakokku visit the downtown and market and cross the Ayerwaddy river by private boat and back to Bagan. Overnight in Bagan.
Early morning start the sightseeing in Bagan, the richest Archaeological site in Asia where thousands of temples, pagodas and ruins can be seen. Visit Shwezigon pagoda, the phototype of later Myanmar stupas, built in early 11th century; Wetkyi-inn Gubyaukgyi temple, with fine mural paintings of Jakata scenes; Htilominlo temple, famous for its plaster carvings. Afternoon Archaeological museum, Anada temple, architectural masterpiece: Anada Okkyaung, a monastery with 18th century mural paintings and Thatbyinyu, the highest temple in Bagan plain for sunset view of Bagan. Then to Buphaya for sunset. Overnight in Bagan.
Early breakfast and drive to Pyay (appr: 9 hrs). Arrival Pyay and overnight.
In the morning sightseeing starts from Hindu style Payagyi and Payama, you can see the -influence of Indian Arts and Srikshetra, an old capital of Pyu kingdom, dating back 5th to 7th Century AD. Then to Hmawza Archaeological Museum. Late afternoon drive to Shwesandaw Pagoda, where sacred hair relic of Lord Buddha is enshrined in it and enjoy the sunset and panoramic view on that hill. Back to hotel and overnight.
After breakfast drive back to Yangon (appr: 6 hrs) . After relaxing drive to China town and you will see crowded people, buying and selling things and so many food stalls both sides of the bustling streets. And then back to hotel and overnight.
In the morning city sightseeing from Sule Pagoda, the historic buildings such as the City Hall, the High Court, Port Commissioner, Strand Hotel, General Post Office and Secretariat . They were built since colonial period and are over hundred years. Then to Bogyoke market, so many shops with gems, jewelleries, clothing and souvenir , etc. Afternoon free at your leisure and late afternoon transfer to Yangon international airport for departure.
